Golden Alpine Holidays

Lodge Rental  

 

A $3000 deposit is required at time of booking to secure the lodge. The Final payment is due 12 weeks prior to your trip commencement date. Please note that the final payment must be paid in a lump sum. We do not accept individual payments for a lodge rental.  Helicopter fees are: $375pp Sunrise, $400pp Meadow, $425pp Vista and $450pp SentryHalf week lodge rental groups will be charged a flat fee of $500pp for helicopter flights.  A paid GAH custodian will be present for the duration of your trip. Groups are required to include custodians in dinner plans. There is a strict 40 pound per person weight restriction for personal gear which includes clothing, skis/board, boots and alcohol. One banana box equivalent of food per person per week is allowed for all Lodge Rental Groups. Groups that bring in excessive gear or require more than 3 flights with the Bell 407 Helicopter or 2 flights with the larger 212 helicopter will be charged extra flight costs. Groups leaders please note that if your group consists of more than 12 people (not including the custodian) then you will be required to pay for extra helicopter flight costs. The charges are as follows: $575/flight for Sunrise; $600/flight for Meadow; $625/flight for Vista and $675/flight for Sentry

Guided/Catered 

 

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The final payment of the balance owing is due 12 weeks prior to your trip. Guided/Catered trips include all helicopter costs,  food, cook and certified Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG). Only 40lbs (20kg) personal gear per person including ski equipment will be allowed or extra costs will be incurred.

Cancellations

 

Payments made to Golden Alpine Holidays Inc. will not be refunded by the corporation. This includes flights for Lodge Rental groups. Refunds for cancelled trips can only be collected if you purchase Cancellation Insurance from a reputable Insurance Agent. We recommend http://www.lifestylefinancial.ca/index.php/travelinsurance/blbca or you may choose any insurance company of your choice to make your own plans. It is advised that you purchase cancellation insurance the day you book your trip. GAH reserves the right to cancel trips due to insufficient bookings. Refunds are guaranteed in these circumstances

Tipping

For Guided and Catered Trips gratuities for your guides, cooks and custodians are not included in your trip price. Industry standard is 5-10% of your total trip price fdistributed to the GAH team. Local currency is preferred and unless you want to tip separately, guides will divide tips amongst the team. Please tip at your discretion, based on GAH staff level of professionalism, guest care and service. For Lodge Rental groups the industry standard for tipping your custodian is between 3-5% of your trip price and is based on merit taking into account such things as professionalism, guest care and service

 Exchange Rates

 

The current rate of exchange at time of payment(s) will be applied to foreign funds including US funds

Flight Delays

 

Helicopters cannot fly in certain weather conditions. It is possible that clients may be delayed flying in or out of the lodges. GAH is not responsible for any costs incurred by an individual or group delayed in getting into any and all GAH Lodges due to adverse flight conditions 

Emergency Evacuation

 

In the event of an incident that requires evacuation, any and all members of a group evacuated from Golden Alpine Holiday tenure are responsible for 100% of the costs associated with the evacuation or evacuations. Check with your medical insurance company regarding coverage of Emergency Evacuation costs. Anyone electing to fly out of the range before the trip is completed must arrange it with the office first and the payment must be in full before the evacuation proceeds

Assumption of Risk

 

There are inherent risks associated with activities that you will experience at GAH. Each participant must acknowledge these risks by signing a waive of liability prior to their trip. A participant that has not properly signed a waiver will not be allowed access to GAH terrain. It is MANDATORY that all groups carry hand-held VHF radio's. We recommend 2-3 for a group of 12.
