-GAH will refund the amount paid for the trip less an admin fee of $250 CAD

Role of Lodge Caretaker

A paid GAH caretaker will be present for the duration of all Lodge Rental trips to help ensure that the lodge is operating properly and to stay in communication with the main office in Golden. GAH caretakers do not act as guides. Groups are required to include caretakers in meal plans. The caretaker does not do all the chores. Chores are shared by all members of the group especially on outbound flight days.

Children

Interested in bringing your children to GAH? Please contact the office.

Tipping

Gratuities for your guides, cooks and caretakers are not included in your trip price and are appreciated. Please tip at your discretion, based on GAH staff level of professionalism, guest care and service. Please bring cash or exchange contact info with the staff after your trip.

Exchange rates

The current rate of exchange at time of payment(s) will be applied to foreign funds, including US funds.

Flight delays

  • Helicopters cannot fly in certain weather conditions. It is possible that clients may be delayed flying in or out of the lodges.
  • GAH is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any costs incurred by an individual or group delayed in getting into any and all GAH Lodges due to adverse flight conditions.
  • Helicopter pilots ultimately decide whether or not it is safe to fly. Please bring a bagged lunch and water for the first day in case of flight delays.

Evacuation

  • In case of an emergency our office will contact Search and Rescue to conduct the rescue procedure.
  • GAH will cover the helicopter fee for evacuations related to nonemergency medical issues.
  • Anyone electing to fly out of the range before the trip is completed for non medical reasons will be responsible for the cost incurred and must arrange it with the office first.

Assumption of risk

There are inherent risks associated with activities that you will experience at GAH. Each participant must acknowledge these risks by signing a waiver of liability prior to their trip. A participant that has not properly signed a waiver will not be allowed access to GAH terrain. It is MANDATORY that all groups carry hand-held VHF radios. We recommend at least 2-3 for a group of 12. Frequencies are listed in the welcome package you will receive prior to your trip.
